Neglected Blog
Seems neglect to this blog was worse than I thought! Last post in February? Jeesh!
It was my hope to get lots of feedback from viewers on what to see on this blog. If you have suggestions, please share them with me.
For my part, I will be more active in this blog.

Thong Tree
Today, I stopped to take a picture on my camera phone of the sign posted in front of the Thong Tree on the corner of Indian Hills and Jackson Boulevard. A quick google search turned up the meaning of Thong Tree as a means of directional markers by Native Americans.
Does anyone have any information about "our" Thong Tree?
The sign said "Indian Trail and Thong Tree - Central District Fed. Garden Clubs of MO".

Local Bed and Breakfast
Our reader named Rosie requested information about local accomodations where she could stay during a visit to Jackson in April. I suggest checking out TLC Bed & Breakfast. Here's a link to their website: http://tlcbnb.com/

Inspiration
During these troubled times, we often seek inspiration and return often to anything that truly inspires. I find this video very inspirational for hope, respect, and love that I have for my country. Just wanted to share.

Jackson HS Jazz Band
Friday, February 15, I had the privilege of watching my son perform at the new River Campus with the Jackson High School Jazz Band. I am a proud mother, no doubt!
Mother's pride aside, I feel like Jackson R2 makes a great effort at helping students by exposure to such advantages as attending the Jazz Festival held by Southeast Missouri State University.
Of course, the bands are one of the things that make Jackson R2 standout. Thank you, Mr. Broussard.
